The laboratory was established in 2002. From 2002 to 2010 the laboratory was headed by Lyubov F. Pisareva, MD PhD, DSc, Professor the Honored researcher.
There are about 400 scientific publications, including 16 monographs and 8 guidelines.
The main research areas are:
- Spatial and time principles of cancer prevalence in Siberia and the Russian Far East.
- Cancer morbidity and mortality among indigenous (aborigenal) peoples and newcomers in Siberia and the Russian Far East.
- Risk factors of cancer development (medical-demographic, social-hegienic, climatic-geographic, migration factor and others.)
- Primary and secondary cancer preventions.
